What i liked was how involved the district is with the schools and the teachers but sometimes i think it is absurd some of the implemented policies they have.

I like Alvin Independent School District very much. It has many well educated teachers, good technologies, libraries etc.. overall it is the best place to complete the high school years with many good memories.

I have been in Alvin Isd since my 7th grade year and there's always been some sort of security issue due to outsiders or even students in the school. So i don't feel the safest but everything else is pretty decent. The teachers are hit or miss some are there to help students but you can also tell some are only there for a check.

My overall experience with the Alvin Independent School District from the sports to the Academics and even the teachers has been fairly well. Although I feel that college readiness is lacking here, there are only one or two classes that get you ready for college. Such as Avid or National Merit. But if they were to put out more readiness classes such as how to apply for scholarships, what to look for in a college, and Tuition breakdowns then this school district would be a lot better.

I had a fairly good experience. There were many opportunities for me to grow. I was able to do things that interested me, such as choir, and do things to prepare for my future. I am able to get CNA certification and get a good job to pay for college.

My expierience with the alvin school district have been pretty good. I am a senior pursuing my last year in alvinsd. I moved here from California in 3rd grade and it was pretty hard to adapt to all the changes and making new friends. Since I was on a different learning level in California I was behind. My elemntary school wanted to hold me back. My parents didn't want to do that. I would like to see more fun events go on to engage our schools to get involved.

My overall experince with Alivin Independent School District was great, i went to four schools of the district and my experince at each school was nice at each school there where different oppertunities. I would like a little bit more freedom and excitement, there was not a lot of school events and dress code i think was to strict and applied to only female students even for teachers there was not a lot freedom. I think Alvin isd should try to make school days more fun for everyone and make it less overwhelming and stressful when it comes to rules.

I have been attending school in Alvin ISD since I was in third grade. I'm currently a high school sophom*ore attending the newest high school in our district. The name of my school is Iowa Colony High School. Our mascot is the Pioneers. We are creating our own school culture because we are a new school. The worst part about our school is that we are new; meaning that we do not currently have any tradition or school spirit.

I have been in Alvin ISD since I enrolled in school. Throughout my education, I have had very unique experiences as a student. I have many different organizations in which I feel accepted and welcome. However, I know many of my peers feel mistreated by educators and their fellow students.

Alvinisd is a district that is diverse. They have continuously set up new school while never taking the time to fix up their old ones. It has the worse drug and social media problem, yet instead of fixing it they just try and hide it.

Horrible district. Many scandals, unprofessional teachers, poorly ran high schools. The board cares more about the money than the education their students review.

There isn't a lot of room for students to grow as they hold students to a low standard. The school district as a whole is very conservative and bigoted. I was looked down on by Teachers and Administrators for being gay. I would like to see more accepting steps taken to embrace minorities in schools.

A relatively competent and competitive school district, and provides excellent opportunities for those who struggle with low family income.

I've attended Alvin Independent School District since second grade when I moved in to Alvin, Texas. I love our district and our rules because it provides a save environment for all their students. Recently a new policy was adopted in all of district and it was our No headphones/Airpods policy. We adopted this new policy for the reason that last year there was a drill at Alvin High School and a student stay inside because of his inability to hear the fire alarm due to him having his headphones on. Since this incident, our district decided to embrace a new rule to keep all of its students safe . Now in every drill all the student successfully exit the building safely.

I am finding any way possible to WARN people of this school district and if you want proof, there are tik toks dedicated to exposing this school district, and since this school district has made it impossible for people to comment on anything regarding them, I will do it here. This school district has allowed AT LEAST two girls, one more recently being a disabled girl, to be raped at school and will not do anything about it and won't apprehend the staff and kids responsible for this disgusting attack. If you truly love your children, you will find ANYWAY to send them somewhere else, and from what I hear, this school has a history of violence. Worst than any public school across the country.

Been in the district from K-12, I've never felt as though the quality of my education was less than excellent. There are so many opportunities to take advantage of and there are many affordable events at every grade, which makes for a great experience.

I like the diversity that Alvin ISD school offers, especially on the south side of 288. I also like that admin cares for all that participate in sports and show up to support these athletes. I do not like to learn that some sports are tainted with biased offices and it makes it hard to win fairly due to this.

They allow girls to be rapped and then try to cover it up. No one helps. Worst School District in the world

I would recommend the Alvin Independent School District increase its security at all of its schools. The curriculum needs improvements.
